Unbeaten #13 Wolfpack Hosts #9 Terrapins Thursday Evening

RALEIGH – The unbeaten and 13th-ranked NC State women's basketball team (8-0) hosts ninth-ranked Maryland (7-1) on Thursday evening in the 2019 installment of the B1G/ACC Challenge. Tip-off between the Wolfpack and Terrapins is scheduled for 7 pm from Kay Yow Court inside Valvano Arena at Reynolds Coliseum with live national television coverage provided by ESPN. Radio broadcasters Patrick Kinas and Ashley Eli will have the call on WKNC 88.1 FM in Raleigh.

Thursday's contest marks the opening of a three-game home stand that also features visits from Elon (Dec. 15) and Chattanooga (Dec. 19) before the team takes a break for the Christmas holiday.

SERIES HISTORY (NC State leads 43-35)
-NC State has won the last two meetings between the teams and is 2-0 against Maryland since Wes Moore took over the program in 2013-14.
-In the last meeting, NC State defeated Maryland 74-60 in Raleigh in the second round of the NCAA Tournament on March 18, 2018.
-Then 18th-ranked NC State defeated eighth-ranked Maryland 72-63 in Raleigh in the teams' final ACC meeting on Jan. 30, 2014.

Since the renovation of Reynolds Coliseum was completed in August 2016, NC State is 51-6 on Kay Yow Court, a record that includes 33 consecutive victories over non-conference opponents.

games against Hawaii and North Texas and grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds in the final game of the tournament.
