Wolfpack Comes in at No. 3 in 2020 EAGL Preseason Poll

DURHAM, N.H. - The NC State gymnastics team ranks third in the 2020 Preseason East Atlantic Gymnastics League Poll, as announced by the EAGL Friday.

The Wolfpack totaled 27 points in the poll as well as one first-place vote. The preseason poll is based on ranking projections provided by the head coaches of the six EAGL institutions.

University of New Hampshire - 32 points (Three First-Place Votes)
George Washington University - 27 points (Two First-Place Votes)
North Carolina State University - 27 points (One First-Place Vote)
University of North Carolina - 18 points
University of Pittsburgh - 14 points
Towson University - 8 points

The Wolfpack returns six members of the team who garnered 11 All-EAGL honors last season. Head coach Kim Landrus was named EAGL Co-Head Coach of the Year while assistant coaches Philip Ogletree and Bob Starkell were EAGL Assistant Coaches of the Year.

NC State's regular season begins Jan. 11 in a 4 p.m. matchup at Ohio State. EAGL competition starts for the Wolfpack Jan. 17 as the team takes on Kentucky, UNC and Lindenwood in a quad meet in Lexington, Ky. at 7 p.m.
