Three Named To United Soccer Coaches All-Region Teams

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Tziarra King, Lulu Guttenberger and Jameese Joseph of the NC State women's soccer team were named to the 2019 United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Region Teams, as announced by the office on Monday afternoon.
King was named to the first team, while Guttenberger and Joseph earned a spot on the third team to mark the most the program has had earn the honor in a single season.
For King, this is the fourth time in as many years she has earned a spot on an all-region team. She wrapped up her career with 88 starts, 48 goals and 115 points, which all rank third in program history at NC State. She earned a spot on the All-ACC First Team after remaining among the top three in the conference in goals (13) and points (32) the entire season.
This is Guttenberger's first all-region award, as she was also an All-ACC selection after starting all 23 matches of the season at center back. She scored four goals and tallied five assists to finish third on the team with a combined 13 points.
Joseph was the only freshman to start all 23 matches this year, as this is the second postseason award of her career after recently earning ACC All-Freshman Team accolades. She scored three goals, two of which were game winners, and had three assists.
All three players were critical in the Wolfpack's fifth-place finish in the ACC, second ACC Championship semifinal appearance in three years and run to the Sweet Sixteen for the third time in the past four years.
