
Pack Opens Non-Conference Play against Detroit Mercy

NC State has won 32 of its last 33 non-conference games at PNC Arena

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State men's basketball team (0-1, 0-1) hosts Detroit Mercy Sunday afternoon at 4 p.m. inside PNC Arena.
The game will be televised locally on Fox Sports South with Bernie Guenther and Mike Gminski on the call. NC State fans can also listen to Gary Hahn and Tony Haynes call the action on the Wolfpack Sports Network.
Military members and veterans can purchase tickets for $10 by showing their military ID at the ticket office at PNC Arena on Sunday.
Pack the Pantry
NC State will be collecting donations as fans enter PNC Arena for the Inter-Faith Food Shuttle to Pack the Pantry.
Fans that donate (5) or more perishable items at drop bins located at the south, west and east side of the arena at PNC Arena on the day of each game will receive a voucher for Buy One, Get One Free tickets. Various price levels of tickets will be available.
Fans are asked to donate healthy snacks, 100% juice boxes, proteins, fruits and vegetables, packaged noodles and breakfast items.

- NC State opened its 110th season of basketball Tuesday evening with an 82-81 overtime loss to Georgia Tech. The Pack led for 35:39 of game action and never trailed in regulation, but the Yellow Jackets converted two free throws with 2.1 seconds left in overtime to win the game.
- Senior guard C.J. Bryce led NC State with 24 points on 11-of-17 shooting. The 24 points are the most in an NC State uniform for the Charlotte native. He added a team-best 11 rebounds.
- Pat Andree and Manny Bates both had bright moments in their NC State debuts. Andree, a grad transfer from Lehigh, scored 12 points and helped NC State jump out to an early double-digit lead by knocking down his first three three-point attempts in the opening eight minutes of the game. Bates finished with five blocked shots which tie for the most by an NC State player in the Kevin Keatts era.
- The Pack returns six of its top-seven scorers from last season's 24-12 team. NC State's returning players combine to account for 69% of the scoring, 61% of the rebounding and 72% of the assists from last season.
- The Pack has 3 starters and 7 returnees back from last season. It is the most experienced team Kevin Keatts has had since taking over the program. His first team with the Pack returned 6 scholarship players from the previous season and last season, NC State had 3 returnees and 10 newcomers on last year's roster.

- The Pack only had eight scholarship players available on Tuesday and of those eight, A.J. Taylor (2 minutes) and Dany Dixon (6 minutes) combined to only play eight minutes. The other six scholarship players all played at least 31 minutes with senior guard C.J. Bryce playing 44:25 of a possible 45 minutes. Bryce, Devon Daniels and Jericole Hellems all played the most minutes of their NC State careers on Tuesday. Last season, zero NC State players averaged to play over 30 minutes per game. Braxton Beverly played the most minutes last season, averaging 29.5 minutes per game.
