Rogers and Smith Advance to Oracle/ITA National Fall Championships Doubles Quarterfinals

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – The NC State women's tennis team collected two victories on Thursday at the 2019 Oracle/ITA National Fall Championships, highlighted by Anna Rogers and Alana Smith advancing to the doubles main draw quarterfinals. The No. 1 doubles duo in the country defeated Lesedi Jacobs and Akvile Parazinkaite of Kentucky, 6-3, 3-6, (10-8), to move on to play Friday.
40th-ranked Smith got back on track in the opening round of singles consolation play with her fifth ranked win of the fall season, taking the final two sets against No. 51 Martina Kudelova (FAU) to advance to Friday.
Rogers fell in a top-10 matchup with ACC foe Sara Daavettila (UNC) in a 6-2, 6-3 decision, finishing her fall season with 10 singles wins.
Adriana Reami also ended her singles run in the round of 32 in straight sets to No. 125 Megan Davies (South Carolina).
