Gill Named to Ray Guy Award Final Candidate List

RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State punter Trenton Gill has been named to the Ray Guy Award final candidate list by the Augusta Sports Council. The Ray Guy Award identifies the nation's top FBS collegiate punter at The Home Depot College Football Awards show on ESPN every December.

In his first season as the Wolfpack's punter, Gill currently ranks second in the ACC and sixth nationally in averaging 47.1 yards per punt. That mark would be a Wolfpack single-season record if the season ended today.

The candidate list will be narrowed down to 10 semifinalists on Tuesday, November 19. The final three finalists will be identified on Monday, Nov. 25th, and the winner will be announced on December 12.
