RALEIGH – The 14th-ranked NC State women's basketball team officially opens the 2019-20 season at home on Wednesday evening when North Carolina A&T comes to town. Tip-off between the Wolfpack and Aggies is scheduled for 7 pm from Kay Yow Court inside Valvano Arena at Reynolds Coliseum with live streaming coverage provided by ACCNX.

A WIN ON WEDNESDAY WOULD...
-Be the 917th win in program history (916-467).
-Be the 699th win in head coach Wes Moore's career (698-227).
-Be Moore's 141st win at NC State (140-58).
-Be NC State's 30th straight home win over a non-conference foe.

During the 2019 postseason, NC State participated in NCAA Tournament games in Raleigh for the second consecutive year. The Wolfpack is 16-2 in NCAA Tournament games played in Raleigh and has not lost a home game in the tournament since 1983.

NC State made its fourth NCAA Tournament appearance during HC Wes Moore's sixth season in Raleigh. This marked the first time that the Wolfpack has made three consecutive NCAA Tournaments since the program did so in 2005, 2006, and 2007. With the first-round victory over Maine on Mar. 23, NC State has won at least one game in three straight tournaments for the first time since the program did so in 1989, 1990, and 1991.

The Wolfpack concluded the 2018-19 season in the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Tournament, making its second consecutive appearance in this round for the first time since 1990 and 1991.

Since the renovation of Reynolds Coliseum was completed in August 2016, NC State is 47-6 on Kay Yow Court, a record that includes 29 consecutive victories over non-conference opponents.

NC State welcomes its strongest signing class in recent memory to Raleigh for this season. The class was ranked as high as sevÂenth nationally by ESPNW in November of 2018 and has only improved since with the addition of reclassified 2020 forward Elle Sutphin.
