
Pack Set to Host Invitational at Greensboro Aquatic Center

RALEIGH, N.C. – The Wolfpack will welcome a solid group of ranked squads to the Greensboro Aquatic Center this weekend as it hosts the NC State/GAC Invitational. The meet is set to run Thursday through Saturday in Greensboro, N.C., with prelims at 9:30 a.m. each day and finals sessions at 5:30 p.m. each night.
MEET INFO:
NC State, which is ranked No. 7 nationally on both the men's and the women's sides, is set to host seven other programs for its second edition of the NC State/GAC Invitational.
No. 14/RV Arizona State, No. 15/11 Duke, No. 23/13 Auburn and No. 24/19 Wisconsin are all competing this weekend. George Washington and Louisville will also send divers to the meet to round out the field.
Admission to the meet is free. Finals will run five heats, with the A, B and C finals for each event scoring points. Only the A and B relay heats will score. A full list of the event order for each day of competition is below.

LAST TIME OUT:
NC State last saw action in the pool at the Kentucky Quad Meet, with the Wolfpack taking away three victories on the weekend between its men's and women's squads. With the wins, head coach Braden Holloway eclipsed 100 career victories at NC State, as he has now accumulated 101 head-to-head wins since taking charge of the programs at the start of the 2011-12 season.
Kate Moore took home titles in three individual events over the course of the two-day meet, and freshman Ross Dant claimed a pair of event wins for the Pack men. Overall, the Wolfpack women won six races on the way to taking team wins over No. 14 Kentucky and Arkansas. The Pack men defeated the 17th-ranked Wildcats.
PACK IN THE POLLS:
The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) released its latest national poll on Nov. 13, and NC State's men and women were both tabbed No. 7 in the country in those rankings.
Both squads have been ranked in the national top seven since the start of the season. The Pack boasts the highest-ranked ACC squad on the men's side, and NC State is ranked just behind No. 4 Virginia on the women's side.

Members of NC State's squad will head to the Toyota U.S Open in Atlanta, Ga., from Dec. 4-7. Select Wolfpack divers will compete at the USA Diving Winter Nationals Dec. 17-22 to wrap up the team's competition slate for the 2019 calendar year.
