
#7 Rifle Finishes Fall Competition With Two Top-10 Matchups

MORGANTOWN, W.V. - The NC State rifle team posted its second-highest score of the season Sunday. The Pack dropped a pair of matches over the weekend, moving to 3-3 on the season. No. 5 Akron (5-1) got the victory Nov. 16, 4675-4631, while No. 2 West Virginia (6-0) defeated the Wolfpack 4710-4666 Nov. 17.
Sophomore Emily Fisher was the top performer for the Wolfpack in both matches, shooting an aggregate of 1,166 against Akron and a career-high 1,175 against West Virginia. Fisher additionally fired a career-high in smallbore, recording a 587.

The matches against Akron and West Virginia marked the final team competitions of 2019 for the Wolfpack. The Winter Airgun Championships will take place in Colorado Springs, Colo. Dec. 6-8. The team returns to action Jan. 8 against top-ranked Kentucky.
