RALEIGH – The 14th-ranked NC State women's basketball team (2-0) returns to action at home on Thursday evening when Lamar University comes to Raleigh. Tip-off in the first-ever meeting between the Wolfpack and Cardinals is scheduled for 7 pm from Kay Yow Court inside Valvano Arena at Reynolds Coliseum. Live streaming coverage will be provided by ACCNX.
Radio broadcaster Patrick Kinas and former Wolfpack student-athlete Ashley Eli will have the call on WKNC 88.1 FM.Â

-College Attendance Challenge: the specific college (CALS, Design, Education, etc.) with the highest student attendance wins a pizza party. Check in with a student ID at the marketing table in the Grand Hall upon arrival.

With an 80-40 win over UNCW on November 10, NC State's Wes Moore earned the 700th victory of his head coaching career. He became just the 11th active and 22nd ever NCAA Division I women's basketball coach to do so.

Newcomers Jakia Brown-Turner (12.5 points per game) and Jada Boyd (11.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals per game) have made immediate impacts during the Wolfpack's first two games.

Junior forward Kayla Jones is making the most of her first two career starts. She has averaged 12.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game while shooting 9-of-14 (64.3 percent) from the field. Last season, Jones averaged 4.7 points and 4.4 rebounds per outing.
