
Pack Hosts Clemson, Georgia Tech for Final Home Weekend

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State volleyball team hosts Clemson and Georgia Tech this weekend, the Pack's final full weekend at home in the 2019 season. Clemson comes to Reynolds Coliseum Friday, Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. before NC State welcomes Georgia Tech into town Sunday, Nov. 3 at 1 p.m. Both matches will be broadcast on ACCNX.

The Packs' final home match will be Sunday, Nov. 24 as they host #2 Pitt for Senior Day. The match is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. with seniors being honored following the conclusion of the match.

NC State (8-14, 3-7 ACC) reaches the halfway point of ACC play this weekend with a pair of critical matchups. The Pack was edged in a five-set match by Boston College last weekend before also dropping a match to Syracuse. Jade Parchment led the team with a combined 32 kills and 19 digs.Â
As a team, NC State ranks second in the Atlantic Coast Conference in digs per set (14.97), team assists (1,024), team digs (1,087) and team attacks (3,066). Kaylee Frazier leads the Pack with 4.30 digs per set, third in the ACC, while Grace Irvin has tallied 3.85 against conference opponents.Â

SCOUTING CLEMSON
Clemson (10-11, 4-6 ACC) had its four-match win streak snapped last weekend following a four-set loss to Florida State. Prior to that, the Tigers had swept Miami and Wake Forest in addition to their wins against Duke and Virginia Tech.

The Tigers' are led by Kaylin Korte who ranks third in the ACC with 3.74 kills per set. 2018 All-ACC performer, Brooke Bailey ranks second on the team with 2.61 kills per set followed by ACC All-Freshman honoree Solei Thomas' 2.47. Freshman setter McKenna Slavik is fifth in the conference with 9.97 assists per set.

SCOUTING GEORGIA TECH
Georgia Tech (14-7, 7-3 ACC) enters the weekend looking to extend its program-record streak of six-consecutive sweeps. The Jackets six-consecutive sweeps started Oct. 9 against Clemson.

Julia Bergmann has been a difference maker for Tech this season, averaging a team-best 3.64 kills per set. The freshman is also second in the ACC with 0.48 aces per set. Kodie Comby currently ranks second in the country with a .454 hitting percentage.

Georgia Tech leads the series against NC State 40-26 while the Tigers are 43-20. NC State faced both teams once last season, losing both matchups. However, the Pack have won nine of the last 11 against Clemson. NC State will have a second meeting with Georgia Tech on Nov. 17 in Atlanta.
