RALEIGH – The No. 14/12 NC State women's basketball team easily cruised through its lone exhibition of the 2019-20 season on Thursday evening, defeating the visiting Anderson University Trojans by a final score of 76-47 on Kay Yow Court inside Valvano Arena at Reynolds Coliseum.

Freshman Jada Boyd led all players with 20 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the field. She was joined in double figures by Aislinn Konig (12 points and five rebounds) and Elissa Cunane (10 points and seven rebounds). Junior Kayla Jones narrowly missed out on a double-double, scoring nine points to go along with her game-high 12 rebounds.

Alexy Mollenhauer led the visitors with 16 points on 6-of-18 shooting.

NC State led for 39:36 of the game's 40 minutes, outscored Anderson 36-6 in the paint, earned a 13-2 advantage in second-chance points, and held the visitors to a 17-of-64 (26.6%) success rate from the field. The Wolfpack generated a 55-38 rebounding advantage and finished the game 29-of-71 (40.8%) from the field.

NC State officially opens the 2019-20 regular season on Wednesday, Nov. 6 against North Carolina A&T. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm from Kay Yow Court inside Valvano Arena at Reynolds Coliseum with live streaming coverage provided by ACCNX.
