RALEIGH – The NC State men's soccer team (5-2-1, 2-1-0 ACC) continues Atlantic Coast Conference play at home on Friday when Notre Dame (5-3-1, 0-3-0 ACC) visits Dail Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 pm with live national television coverage provided by the ACC Network.

-#SetTheExpectation Night: Inspired by a spring 2019 speech on campus from Brenda Tracy, the Wolfpack is hosting the first-ever NCAA men's soccer match to recognize the Set the Expectation movement, which combats sexual and physical violence by encouraging coaches, young men, and boys to become part of the solution.
-Men's Soccer Alumni Night.
-Honoring George Tarantini: the Wolfpack alumni will honor recently-passed former head coach George Tarantini at halftime of Friday's match.
-Fraternity & Sorority Life Night: highest attending organization wins BoJangles delivered to their next chapter meeting.
-Youth Soccer Night.
-Postmatch autographs.

REMEMBERING COACH TARANTINI
The NC State Athletic Department is saddened to hear of the recent passing of former NC State men's soccer coach George Tarantini.
Â
Tarantini retired in November of 2010 as the winÂningest soccer coach in school history. He earned ACC Coach of the Year honors in 1992 and 1994 and was the NCAA Regional Coach of the Year in 1994. He directed the Wolfpack to nine NCAA Tournament appearances, including one postseason run in 1990 that featured the program's first ACC chamÂpionship and an appearance in the Final Four of the NCAA Tournament before falling to eventual national champion UCLA on penalty kicks.

Tab Ramos, Roy Lassiter, Henry Gutierrez, Dario Brose, Scott Schweitzer, and Pablo Mastroeni, all members of the U.S. Men's National Team during their careers, played for Tarantini at NC State. In all, he produced 12 All-Americans and four ACC Players of the Year during his tenure.
