CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – NC State fell on the road at Boston College, 45-24, on Saturday afternoon.

Boston College opened the scoring with an eight-yard INT return for a touchdown with five minutes left in the first quarter.
Â
NC State's Christopher Dunn kicked a 31-yard field goal to open the second quarter, to be answered by BC's 27-yard field goal on the next drive to make it a 10-3 Eagles lead.
Â
BC went into the half up 24-3 after 54 and then 48-yard TD rushes by David Bailey.
Â
The teams traded touchdowns in the third quarter, with the Pack getting a six-yard TD pass from Devin Leary to Thayer Thomas to bring the score to 31-10.

In the fourth quarter, Leary connected on a pair of touchdowns to Thomas and Cary Angeline.

NOTABLES
• WR Devin Carter set new career-bests with six catches for 140 yards. It marked his first game over 100 yards receiving.

• With a first quarter reception, WR Emeka Emezie caught his 100th career pass with the Wolfpack. He becomes the 20th player in school history to hit the century mark.

• Malik Dunlap and De'Von Graves both recorded their first career starts, both at cornerback. NC State was without its top three cornerbacks: Nick McCloud, Chris Ingram and Teshaun Smith.

The Wolfpack will have a bye next week. NC State returns to action on Saturday, Nov. 2 at Wake Forest.
