NC State Wrestling Match at PNC Arena Set for this Saturday

@PackWrestle will be in action as part of doubleheader with men's basketball
RALEIGH, N.C. – Another first for the NC State wrestling team will take place this weekend.

The Wolfpack will host Brown on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 3 p.m. at PNC Arena. The wrestling match will take place after the NC State men's basketball game vs. Pitt earlier in the day.
NC State wrestling has never competed in PNC Arena.

"This will be good for college wrestling," said head coach Pat Popolizio. "We get to have a dual inside a beautiful arena that hosts huge crowds for men's basketball and of course NHL hockey. We want to do our part to keep that arena full after the basketball game, and this will be a great way for our team to get even more exposure to the Wolfpack fans that might not have seen a match in Reynolds before.

"We hope this is a venue that the NCAA will be looking at to run the NCAA Championships at in the future, so let's show them a great atmosphere we are planning to have that day."

Fans will be purchasing a ticket for the doubleheader event at PNC Arena. Once the men's basketball game ends, fans will have the chance to move down and be closer to the wrestling mat as the arena will be general admission for the wrestling dual.
NC State Men's Basketball and Wrestling double header event tickets will be sold in advance through the NC State Athletics Ticket Office online at GoPack.com/buytickets, over the phone at 919-865-1510, or in person at 5400 Trinity Road, Suite 407. Tickets will also be sold on the event day at the PNC Arena Box Office.
All NC State wrestling season tickets holders have already been provided a basketball ticket for that day which will double as a wrestling ticket.
Parking for the event is available in the General Admission lots for $10.
