Grantham Named EAGL Gymnast of the Week

The junior gymnast earned three podium finishes this past weekend
BALTIMORE, Md. --Â NC State gymnast Drew Grantham has been named the East Atlantic Gymnastics League (EAGL) Gymnast of the Week, as announced by the conference on Tuesday. Grantham recorded three podium finishes in the Wolfpack's home opener against No. 15 Ohio State (beam, floor, all-around). The announcement marks the junior's first weekly conference award in her Wolfpack career.Â

The four-time All-EAGL honoree set season-highs in every event, with the exception of bars. Grantham's scores from Saturday's meet against No. 15 Ohio State are as follows: all-around - 39.175 (tied for second place), vault - 9.775 (sixth place), bars - 9.750 (eighth place), beam - 9.825 (tied for second place), floor - 9.825 (tied for third place).
The junior's performance marked the second consecutive meet that she has finished on the podium in all-around competition.
Grantham will be back in action with the NC State gymnastics squad on Jan. 18 in Towson, Md., in a quad-meet hosted by Towson with William & Mary and Cornell.
