How It Happened
The Fighting Irish started the match with a pair of corners in the first five minutes, and the team attempted to score on both with header shots. On the second header Sydney Wootten made the save as she punched it out, but ND's Karin Muya found the rebound and put a low strike in the back of the net in the fifth minute.
Five minutes later Taylor Porter knotted the match with her first goal of the season. A Notre Dame defender tried to clear Hannah Keogh's cross off a corner and headed it out, but Michaella van Maanen got a foot on it and passed to Porter just above the six-yard box and she finished to the bottom right corner of the net.
In the rest of the opening half Notre Dame won five more corners and recorded another four shots, but the Pack's defensive organization kept the Irish from scoring again.
