Women's Tennis Preseason Ranking Features Three Pack Members

TEMPE, Ariz. -- The NC State women's tennis team has three players featured in the Oracle ITA Division I Preseason National Rankings, as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Tuesday.Â

Junior Anna Rogers and senior Claudia Wiktorin are ranked No. 12 in doubles competition heading into the 2018-19 season. It is the highest doubles ranking in program history. Last year the duo set a program record with 28 doubles wins in a season, finishing the year by advancing to the NCAA Doubles Championship Sweet 16 before falling to Arizona State. The record was previously held by Rogers and Martina Frantova in 2017 with 27 doubles victories. Â

In singles, junior Adriana Reami is tabbed as the highest-ranked Pack member, checking in at No. 59. Reami finished the 2017-18 season ranked No. 88. She was named to All-ACC Third Team and sits at No. 9 on NC State's career singles wins list with 51. Reami's sophomore season was highlighted by three wins over ranked singles opponents and one over a ranked doubles opponent.

Anna Rogers follows closely behind Reami in the preseason rankings at No. 66. The two-time All-ACC Third Team member is the first player in program history to participate in the NCAA Doubles Championship twice.
Senior Claudia Wiktorin was also highlighted, ranked No. 114 in singles competition. Wiktorin sits at No. 8 on NC State's career singles wins list with 52 in her career.

The Pack will begin its season this weekend, traveling to Albany, Bahamas to compete at the USTA Bahamas Invitational Sept. 14-16.
