RALEIGH – NC State tennis is set to host the ITA Summer Circuit Event, as it will welcome nearly 200 tennis players to Raleigh for the three-day tournament from July 28-30.
The event is one of 49 tournaments on the 2018 ITA Summer Circuit, which began in mid-June and continues through this weekend. The tournament at NC State will include seven draws – four men's draws and three women's draws – and participants will also have the option to sign up to participate in doubles competition.
The weekend's matches will be played at three different sites on or near the NC State campus, with competition taking place at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center, the Carmichael Gymnasium tennis courts, and the Pullen Park tennis courts.
Singles will play two out of three sets, with a 10-point super tiebreaker in lieu of a third set using no-ad scoring. The scoring format for doubles will be an eight-game pro-set using no-ad scoring and a seven-point tiebreak at seven-all. The men's draws will use the Division I collegiate no-let rule.
