25 From Swimming and Diving Honored As CSCAA Scholar All-Americans

Both programs named Scholar All-American Teams

RALEIGH - After a year of success in competition and in the classroom, six members of the NC State men's swimming and diving program and 10 members of the women's team were named Individual Scholar All-Americans, as announced by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

An additional six men and three women received honorable mention selections, giving the Wolfpack a combined total of 25 student-athletes on this season's list.

Both the men's and women's squads were recognized as Scholar All-America Teams for the spring semester. The Wolfpack men finished the semester with a 3.29 combined GPA, which ranks third in the ACC. The team finished fourth at the NCAA Championships and claimed national titles in five events to conclude the season. NC State won conference titles in 14 swimming events on the way to taking gold at the ACC Championships for the fourth season in a row.

The women's swimming and diving team recorded a 3.43 combined GPA, earning the academic honors after coming off of its fifth-straight top 20 finish at the NCAA Championships. The Wolfpack women finished 11th in the final national poll of the season, secured a combined 15 All-America honors, and earned a third-place finish at the ACC Championships.

The CSCAA recognizes teams with the Scholar All-America Award for achieving a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. Individuals who were selected as Scholar All-Americans earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher and participated in the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. The honorable mention selections similarly achieved a GPA of 3.50 and earned a "B" time standard or competed at the NCAA Regional or Zone Diving qualifier.
