Moore to Represent United States at Pan Pacific Championships

Moore to compete in 10-kilometer open water event
RALEIGH – Former member of the NC State swimming & diving team Hannah Moore capped off an excellent senior year with the Wolfpack by earning selection to the U.S. National Team for the Pan Pacific Championships.
The Pan Pacific Championships will take place in Tokyo, Japan, from Aug. 9-14 and Moore will compete in the 10-kilometer open water event on Aug. 14.

Moore earned selection after being the third-highest American finisher at the French Open Water Championships on May 31, 2018 in Gravelines, France. She finished ninth overall in 1:55.45.68 seconds.
Prior to commencing open water competition, Moore had a stellar senior year. She earned All-America honors in the 1,650 and 500 freestyle and was the ACC Champion in the 1,650 freestyle. Moore also earned All-ACC honors in the 1,650 and 500 freestyle along with 400 IM. She was also named to the 2018 All-ACC Academic Team. Moore is also the program record holder in the 500, 1000 and 1,650 freestyle events along with the 400 IM and is part of the team that holds the school record in the 800 freestyle relay.
