Landrus Honored as Southeast Region Coach of the Year

RALEIGH – In her first year at the helm of the NC State gymnastics team, head coach Kim Landrus was honored as the Southeast Region Coach of the Year, as announced by the National Association of Collegiate Gymnastics Coaches / Women (NACGC/W) Saturday night.

In Landrus' first year the Wolfpack earned the title of EAGL Champion for the first time since 2013 after posting a score of 196.625 at the EAGL Championships inside SECU Arena at Towson on Mar. 24.
NC State also finished the regular season ranked #20 overall along with being inside the top-20 on three events; #13 on vault, #19 on beam and #20 on floor. It was also #34 on bars.
The Pack a posted two top-10 program best scores this season; it went 196.800 at Ohio State with Central Michigan on Mar. 11 to tie the fourth-highest score while the team's 196.625 from the EAGL Championships was eighth-highest.
The Pack also had seven gymnasts combine for 17 All-EAGL honors, marking the first time since the first time since 2012 it achieved that many.
The Wolfpack also continued to thrive academically as 13 members were named to the All-EAGL Scholastic Team.
Adina Stock was also named Southeast Region Tri-Administrator of the Year.
