#42 NC State Earns Convincing Win Over Louisville, 7-0

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The #42 NC State women's tennis team earned its second-straight ACC victory as it earned a convincing 7-0 win over Louisville Friday at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
The win moved NC State to 11-11 (4-5 ACC) and the Cardinals to 13-7 (3-7 ACC).
From the Coach
"Great team effort today to pull out another ACC road win," said head coach Simon Earnshaw. "I wouldn't say it was our best tennis, but we competed hard at every spot, supported one another well and managed to pull through some close moments. Doubles got us rolling again and this time we were able to carry some momentum into singles. Claudia and Taylor did an excellent job closing out their matches without too much drama and that seemed to give us enough freedom to be able to find a way through everywhere else. I'm happy we kept going after the team result was achieved, we needed that and now transition up to South Bend where we'll be back indoors on Sunday. Overall very positive today and an exciting start to the weekend! Go Pack!"
Doubles
NC State continued its impressive doubles play as it again took the doubles point. #19 Anna Rogers & Claudia Wiktorin earned a 6-2 win over #62 Abbie Pahz & Mariana Humberg at No.1 while Amanda Rebol and Adriana Reami clinched the point for the Wolfpack at No. 3, defeating Ariana Rodriguez & Aleksandra Mally 6-4.
