WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The NC State women's soccer team got a goal in each half from Maxine Blackwood and Michaella van Maanen in a 2-0 win against ACC foe Wake Forest on Saturday afternoon at Spry Stadium.

The Wolfpack remains undefeated versus collegiate competition, with the only loss coming on February 28 at the hands of 2017 NWSL regular season champion, NC Courage.

"We're playing well right now," said head coach Tim Santoro. "Coming off a 1-1 result with (2017 College Cup participant) South Carolina in a shortened game last week, I was hoping for a more consistent 90-minute performance today and we got it.

"No matter what shape we experiment with in the spring, our ability to pass and break pressure while also attack and get behind continues to be impressive for long stretches of games. Also, to beat Wake without Zee (King) and Kia (Rankin) shows the depth and growth of our roster."

NC State will play its final spring match next Saturday, April 21 at 12 p.m. when it hosts Elon at Dail Soccer Stadium. The match is open to the public and free to attend.
