Peebles Named ACC Men's Track Performer of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - NC State track and field sophomore Dylan Peebles has been named the ACC Men's Track Performer of the Week, the conference office announced Tuesday afternoon. The weekly honors mark the first of Peebles's Wolfpack career.

Peebles earned the recognition after a strong showing at the Gamecock Invitational Saturday afternoon. He placed first in the men's 200m for the second meet in a row, clocking a personal-best 20.66 to take home gold in a field of 54 sprinters.

His time sits at No. 15 in the nation and No. 8 in the NCAA East Region. Peebles ran the fourth-best collegiate 200m time of the week with his 20.66 performance. That mark is also the fastest mark to be posted in the ACC this outdoor season and moved him to seventh on NC State's all-time 200m performance list.

Peebles also anchored the Wolfpack men's 4x400m relay team, which placed first at the Gamecock Invitational Saturday evening.
