
Clyburn, Overbey Finish Among Top 30 At Wildcat Invitational

TUSCON, Ariz. – Cecily Overbey and India Clyburn shot 73 and 74, in respective order, on Tuesday to finish among the top 30 of the individual standings out of 95 players at the Arizona Wildcat Invitational.
The duo led the NC State women's golf team to a ninth-place finish as it shot a combined 299 (+11) in the final round. The squad climbed two spots on the leaderboard to complete the tournament with an 895 (+31).
Hosted by Arizona at Sewailo Golf Club, UCLA won the tournament title with a 17-under par 847, while the Wildcats (856, -8) and Texas (860, -4) rounded out the top three of the team standings.
Laura Kowohl shot a final round score of 75 (+3) to finish T45th with a 226 (+10), while Mim Sangkapong shot 77 to tie for 56th with a 229. Naomi Ko rounded out the Pack's top five with a 16-over par 232 as she shot a 79 on Tuesday for tie for 69th.
Crystal Huang, who competed as an individual, shot 78 in the final round to finish T52nd in the player standings with an 11-over par 227 for the tournament.
The team will return to action March 23-25 when it plays in the LSU Tiger Classic in Baton Rouge, La.

Overbey's 73 on Tuesday allowed her to climb 20 spots to finish in a tie for 30th with a seven-over par 223.Laura Kowohl shot a final round score of 75 (+3) to finish T45th with a 226 (+10), while Mim Sangkapong shot 77 to tie for 56th with a 229. Naomi Ko rounded out the Pack's top five with a 16-over par 232 as she shot a 79 on Tuesday for tie for 69th.
