
NC State Concludes Successful 2018 Raleigh Relays

RALEIGH, N.C. - The 2018 Raleigh Relays came to a close Saturday afternoon as the NC State track and field team added ACC qualifying marks in three events and put up six podium performances to complete competition at its home meet.
In addition to a successful day of competition, the Wolfpack also had the chance to recognize and celebrate the members of its senior class as they participated in their final home meet.
SPRINTS:
NC State had a standout day in the 200m, with three members of the Pack finishing in the top five on the men's side. Dylan Peebles raced his way to a first-place finish and tied his personal-best time of 20.87, which ties as the No. 13 mark in the nation. Shannon Patterson (20.96) and Cravont Charleston (21.02) finished second and fourth, respectively. All three qualified for ACC Outdoors with their times.
On the women's side, White recorded a third-place finish with a time of 24.48, a PR that bumped her up one spot to eighth on NC State's all-time list in the event.
RELAYS:
The women's 4x100m relay team took second place. Janel Pate, Gabriele Cunningham, Tiana Patillo, and Kylia Wright teamed up to clock a 45.41 in the race, a time that stands tied for third-best in school history.

The 4x400m relay team of Patillo, Cunningham, Jada Griffin, and Alexis Postell also finished in second. The women ran a 3:42.90 to move into second in the Wolfpack's all-time list of outdoor performances in the event.

JUMPS:
In her outdoor debut, Michelle Cobb notched a mark of 40' .5" (12.20m) in the triple jump and took home a first-place finish in the event. The Wolfpack freshman's jump also came with an ACC qualifying mark and turned in as the eighth-best jump in program history.
THROWS:
Lauren Evans, who already owns the program's top hammer throw mark, recorded a throw of 186' 9" Saturday morning to place fifth and qualify for competition at the ACC Outdoor Championships.
UP NEXT:
The squad is set to travel to Columbia, S.C. to compete in the Gamecock Invitational on April 7.
