Wolfpack guard scored 27 points against Regional winner Mississippi State

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Due to her outstanding performance in the Sweet 16 game against No. 1 seed Mississippi State, Kiara Leslie of the NC State women's basketball team (26-9) was named to the NCAA Basketball Championship Kansas City Regional All-Tournament Team on Sunday evening.

Leslie scored a game and career-high 27 points on 8-13 shooting and was nearly perfect from the free throw line (9-10). She also collected six rebounds, went 2-2 from beyond the arc, and recorded one block in her 40 minutes of game action.

Leslie concluded her first Wolfpack season as the team's second leading scorer (12.7 points per game) and second leading rebounder (5.9 rebounds per game). She scored at least 10 points in a game on 26 occasions throughout the season.

Teaira McCowan and Victoria Vivians of Mississippi State were named Co-Most Outstanding Players of the Regional. Jordin Canada and Monique Billings of UCLA joined Leslie on the All-Tournament Team.
