Kowohl Named ACC Golfer Of The Month

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Junior Laura Kowohl of the NC State women's golf team was named ACC Golfer Of The Month for February, as announced by the league office on Tuesday.
She opened the spring season with a third-place finish out of 66 players at the Lady Puerto Rico Classic (Feb. 11-13), with a seven-over par 220. She posted scores of 73, 75 and 72 en route to earning her second top-five finish of the year.
At the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate (Feb. 18-20), she finished in a tie for 32nd out of 90 participants with a three-day total of 227 (+11), shooting rounds of 77, 74 and 76.
The Kronau, Germany, native finished the month with a 74.5 scoring average.
Five of her six rounds counted towards the team tournament total, as the Wolfpack finished fourth at both tournaments.
The Pack returns to action this weekend when it travels to Baton Rouge, La., for the LSU Tiger Classic March 23-25.
