#22 NC State Goes 196.075, New Hampshire 195.650 in EAGL Dual

RALEIGH - The #22 NC State gymnastics team posted a score of 196.075, its third-highest score of the season, against EAGL foe New Hampshire in its annual Disney Meet Friday night inside Reynolds Coliseum.

Along with scoring above a 49.000 on both beam and floor, Chelsea Knight tied the highest individual all-around score in the EAGL this season as she tied her-career high of 39.525.

From the Coach
"This team continues to believe in each other and the process," said head coach Kim Landrus. "We built on our performances from last weekend and didn't let small mistakes rattle us." After bars, our message to the team was fight as we had a close meet on our hands. They went on and put everything together on both beam and floor to score above a 49 on each.

We need to keep focusing on the little things; handstands, stuck landings and finishes on each skill. That's what will take us to the next level and we are fully capable of it."

Vault
Chelsea Knight finished first with a score of 9.875 while Caitlyn Fillard, Mackenzie Itcush, and Alexa Phillips tied for fifth as they each earned a score of 9.775. Itcush tied her career-high and the Wolfpack finished with an event total of 48.950.

Bars
Posting a team score of 48.850, Knight led the Wolfpack with a 9.875 to finish first. Lauren Kent took fifth with a score of 9.800 while Nicole Wild, Maggie Tamburro & Caitlyn Fillard tied for seventh as they each earend scores of 9.725.

Beam
The Pack earned a 49.000 or high for the third-straight week on beam as it finished with a 49.150. Knight led the way as she earned a score of 9.925 to finish first, Caitlyn Fillard tied her career-high of 9.850 to finish fourth and Lauren Kent finished fifth with a 9.825.

Floor
NC State closed the night out strongly on floor, finishing with a score of 49.125. Mackenzie Itcush, who tied her career-high, and Chelsea Knight tied for first as each earned scores of 9.850. Caitlyn Fillard tied her career-high of 9.850 to tie for third while Alexis Beucler and Alexa Phillips tied for fifth as each posted a score of 9.800.

All-Around
Knight took first, tying her career-high and the highest individual all-around score in the EAGL this season with a 39.525, Caitlyn Fillard finished second with a score of 39.175 and Drew Grantham earned a score of 38.850 to finish third,
