Knight Named EAGL Gymnast of the Week for Third Time in 2018

BALTIMORE – Coming off a weekend that saw her tie the school's all-time best all-around score of 39.550 and help the #23 NC State gymnastics team achieve a season-high of 196.800, Chelsea Knight was named EAGL Gymnast of the Week for the third time this season, as announced by the conference office.
In the Pack's tri-meet at #24 Ohio State with Central Michigan on Mar. 11 Knight tied the program's highest all-around score as she earned a 39.550. She helped NC State tie its highest vault score in history, 49.350, as she won the event with a career-high 9.925. Knight also won beam with a 9.925, tied for second on floor with a 9.900 and tied for ninth on bars with a score of 9.800.
Against #2 LSU inside Reynolds Coliseum on Mar. 9, she helped the Wolfpack achieve a season-high on floor of 49.450 as she won event with a career-high score of 9.925. On beam she posted a 9.925 to finish second.
Knight also earned EAGL Gymnast of the Week on Jan. 23 and Feb. 20.
