GREENSBORO, N.C. – The No. 23/22 NC State women's basketball team (22-7, 11-5 ACC) opens play at the 2018 ACC Tournament in the second round on Thursday morning. NC State will take on the winner of Boston College and UNC-Chapel Hill at 11 a.m. inside the Greensboro Coliseum with live television coverage provided by the Atlantic Coast Conference's Regional Sports Networks (Fox Sports South in Raleigh).
A WIN ON THURSDAY WOULD...
-Be the 885th win in program history (884-459).
-Be the 667th win of head coach Wes Moore's career (666-219).
-Be Moore's 109th win at NC State (108-50).
-Be the Wolfpack's 46th ACC Tournament victory (45-36).

With Nelson earning a spot on the All-ACC First Team, NC State has had at least one player earning First Team honors in back-to-back seasons (Dominique Wilson and Miah Spencer in 2016-17) for the first time since the 1998-99 and 1999-2000 seasons.

Despite graduating four senior starters and their accompanying 43.5 points per game from the 2016-17 squad, the 2017-18 Wolfpack is the same (22-7) through 29 games as last season (22-7). The Wolfpack was picked 10th (coaches) and tied for fourth in the ACC standings.
KEEP GETTING TO THE LINE
NC State has made more free throws (421) than its opponents have attempted (400) through 29 games this season.
SHARP SHOOTER
Sophomore guard Aislinn Konig has hit 78 three-pointers this season, ranking fifth for the most made in a single year. Jennifer Howard holds the program record of 90 made during the 1995-96 season.
BLOCK BY BLOCK
Senior center Akela Maize is moving up the single-season blocks list at NC State. With 56 blocks through 29 games this year, she currently ranks sixth for most in a single season. Maize has swatted two blocks or more on 13 occasions so far this year. Her season and career high mark of five came in the Nov. 23 win over Alabama and was tied in the win over No. 10 Florida State on Feb. 1.

NC State ends a regular season with 14 home wins for the third time under head coach Wes Moore. Prior to his arrival, the program achieved 14 home wins three times in 39 years.
