Knight Honored as EAGL Gymnast of the Week for Second Time in 2018

BALTIMORE – After helping the NC State gymnastics team earn a season-high score of 196.575 last Saturday against #6 Michigan, UNC-Chapel Hill & Brown, senior Chelsea Knight was honored as EAGL Gymnast of the Week Tuesday morning, as announced by the conference office. It marks the second time this season Knight has received the award.
Anchoring every event, Knight had an all-around score of 39.350 to finish first and also won beam after earning a score of 9.950. Her beam score was a career-high, the fourth-highest score in program history, tied for the highest beam score in the EAGL this season and helped the Wolfpack achieve a season-high beam score of 49.300.
Knight also helped NC State achieve its season-high score of 49.150 on bars after she tied for third with a 9.850. On vault she tied for fifth with a score of 9.875
