Wolfpack Posts Season-High Away Score in Quad Meet at Texas Woman's

DENTON, Texas - Competing in a quad meet at Texas Woman's with #15 Auburn and Pittsburgh, the NC State gymnastics posted a score of 195.925, the highest score it's posted on the road this season and its second-highest score overall Sunday afternoon inside Kitty Maggee Arena.

The Wolfpack also earned a season-high vault score of 49.175. It also set four individual career-highs, tied four individual career-highs, set one individual season-high and tied two individual season-highs during the meet.

From the Coach
"I'm proud of the fight I saw from the team today," said head coach Kim Landrus. "After the first rotation, they knew they were capable of so much more however they didn't let it affect the rest of the competition. They were aggressive on both floor and vault and then finished the meet with a strong bar rotation. We're excited to be back at Reynolds for the next four meets. I'm confident the team will be ready and energized to compete in front of the home crowd."

Beam
Posting an event total of 48.725 the Wolfpack was led by Nicole Wild and Lauren Kent, who competed on beam for the first time in her career. The duo tied for fourth with scores of 9.850, a season-best mark for Wild.

Floor
Drew Grantham tied her career-high of 9.900 to tie for first-place while Caitlyn Fillard set a new career-high of 9.850 to tie for sixth with Alexa Phillips, who also earned a total of 9.850 to tie her season-best score. NC State finished with an event total of 49.050, its second-highest floor score of the season.

Vault
The Pack had a stellar day on vault as it posted a season-best team score of 49.175, a mark that also tied for the 12^th-highest in program history. Alexa Phillips tied her career-high of 9.875 to finish third, Caitlyn Fillard set a new career-high of 9.850 to finish fourth and Drew Grantham set a new career-high of 9.825 to tie for fifth with Chelsea Knight. Mackenzie Itcush posted a career-high vault score for the second-consecutive week, 9.800, to tie for ninth.

Bars
Maggie Tamburro, Lauren Kent and Chelsea Knight tied for ninth as each earned a score of 9.825, with Kent's mark tying her career-high and Knight's score tying her season-high. Caitlyn Fillard tied her career-high of 9.775 to finish 15^th.

All-Around
Drew Grantham tied for second with a score of 39.175, Caitlyn Fillard finished fourth with a score 39.050 and Chelsea Knight earned a 38.575 to finish sixth.
