King Earns Google Cloud Academic All-America Honors

RALEIGH - Thanks to a successful season on the field and in the classroom, junior Tziarra King of the NC State women's soccer team has been named to the CoSIDA Google Cloud Academic All-America First Team, as announced by the organization on Thursday.
The Sicklerville, N.J., native becomes the second player in program history, and first since 2002, to receive the honor.
The team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom, as King is a nutrition science major with a cumulative 4.00 grade-point average.
King led the Wolfpack with 10 goals and 26 points as she finished third and fourth, respectively, among the ACC in those categories. She started all 22 matches and played a major role in the team's third straight NCAA Championship berth and second Sweet 16 appearance in three years.
King has additionally been named to the All-ACC and United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Region Second Teams and CoSIDA's Google Cloud Academic All-District Team this postseason.
