RALEIGH – The 17th-ranked NC State women's basketball team (1-0) will look to begin a new season with two consecutive wins for the ninth straight time on Sunday afternoon when Kent State comes to Reynolds Coliseum. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 pm from Kay Yow Court with live video coverage provided by ACC Network Extra.

-Be the 672nd win in HC Wes Moore's career (671-221).

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN FLASHES
-Kent State posted a 13-19 record last season and was projected to finish fourth in the East Division of the Mid-American Conference this year.
-Last season's leading scorer Jordan Korinek (19.8 ppg.) has graduated from the program.
-Kent State is coached by Todd Starkey, who is in his third season at the helm of the program. He earned MAC Coach of the Year honors after guiding the Golden Flashes to a 13-5 conference record and a WNIT appearance in 2017.

SERIES HISTORY (NC STATE LEADS 1-0)
-Sunday's game marks the second meeting between the programs.
-In the only prior meeting, NC State defeated Kent State 79-55 on Dec. 3, 1983 in Chapel Hill.

QUITE A STREAK
NC State has won 19 consecutive non-conference games played at home. The Wolfpack's last loss in Raleigh to a non-ACC team came on Dec. 13, 2015.

DOMINANT REBOUNDING
NC State out-rebounded Belmont 46-30 in its season-opening win on Nov. 7. The Wolfpack collected 12 offensive rebounds that led to 16 second-chance points.

BALANCED SCORING
Five Wolfpack players scored in double figures during NC State's season-opening win over Belmont on Nov. 7. Newcomer Grace Hunter led all players with 16 points while sophomore Kai Crutchfield scored a career high 15.

STRONG DEBUT
Freshman center Elissa Cunane scored 12 points, grabbed five rebounds, and dished out three assists in her career debut on Nov. 7. She went a perfect 4-4 from the field during the win over Belmont.

CANADIAN SHARPSHOOTER
Junior guard Aislinn Konig has hit at least one three-pointer in 34 consecutive games dating back to Nov. 15, 2017. She hit 91 last season, setting a new program single-season record. The previous mark of 90 was held by Jennifer Howard since the 1995-96 season.

NC State has exceeded ACC coaches' preseason expectations in four of the last five seasons.
