Rogers Wins First Match at ITA National Fall Championships

Anna Rogers wins in three sets

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Anna Rogers won her first match at the ITA National Fall Championships in the Singles Round of 64 on Wednesday to advance to the Round of 32.

Facing Denver's Arisha Ladhani, Rogers dropped the first set, 6-2. Down 1-0 in the second set, Rogers rattled off four straight games to take the lead in the second set, 4-1. That lead propelled her to a 6-2 second-set win.

In the third set, Rogers clinched a 6-2 victory to advance to the Round of 32. She will take on No. 41 Evgeniya Levashova (Pepperdine) on Thursday in Surprise Ariz., at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex.
