Women's Tennis Completes First Day at Kitty Harrison Invitational

Wolfpack Finishes 8-3 on Friday
RALEIGH, N.C. --Â The NC State women's tennis team competed at the Kitty Harrison Invitational on Friday. Competing at home on NC State's indoor courts due to weather, the Wolfpack finished 8-3 overall for the day.Â
The Wolfpack had a strong showing in singles play against Penn State. The team went 4-1 in singles play Friday. Finishing the day with a singles win against Penn State's Chelsea Sawyer, freshman Alana Smith ended the day undefeated in singles and doubles play (3-0).
Bouncing back after finishing 1-2 against South Carolina in doubles play, the Wolfpack swept Old Dominion, winning all three doubles matches. Anna Rogers and Alana Smith cruised past South Carolina's Megan Davies and Rachel Rohrabacher. Davies and Rohrabacher defeated Rogers and Smith in October in the doubles semifinal of the ITA Carolina Regional.
