Wolfpack Rifle Travels to Top-Ranked West Virginia This Weekend

RALEIGH, N.C. – The 15th-ranked NC State rifle team will travel to No. 1 West Virginia this weekend in the final dual match of the 2018 calendar slate for the Wolfpack. Action is slated to get underway at 10 a.m. Saturday morning inside the WVU Shell Building.
NC State heads into the weekend with a 3-2 record on the year, including a 2-2 mark in Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) action. West Virginia is a perfect 9-0 on the season and 4-0 in conference matches.
In its last outing, the Wolfpack defeated No. 11 Army, 4649-4634, to earn its second GARC victory of the year. The Mountaineers recorded a 4703-4678 win versus third-ranked TCU in their most recent match last Saturday.
The Pack last traveled to WVU for the 2018 GARC Championships when NC State finished sixth with a score of 4646. The last time the two teams met in a dual match at the Shell Building was Jan. 30, 2016, when West Virginia scored a 4719 to win the contest.
