"I am thrilled that we are officially making Chloe, Alexis, and Emily part of the Pack family," said head coach Kim Landrus. "This trio of young women are the total package. Emily, Chloe and Alexis complement each other in a way that embodies the strength of the Pack. Each of them are solid all-arounders, but have different 'signature' events, which will create a great balance within the class. The power, grace, skill and difficulty that this group displays on the competition floor will get Wolfpack Nation excited for the future!"

"Lex is a competitor! Vault and bars are two of Lex's strongest events, which is a combination that we repeatedly look for when we recruit. Beam is also intriguing, as she has a unique skill that not many perform at the collegiate level. Watching her throughout the season last year, there was that 'fire' to perform. That 'fire,' along with her consistency, hard work, and skill level resulted in a great deal of success on the competition floor.
Besides her gymnastics abilities, Lex has such a bubbly, fun personality that she will bring to the team. I foresee her continuing this same level of greatness as a a part of the Wolfpack family and I can't wait for her arrival on campus next fall."

Shepard comes to the Wolfpack as a 12-time Kansas State Champion. Over the course of her high school career, she was a two-time Western National qualifier, two-time J.O. National qualifier, and five-time Regional qualifier. Shepard has also been honored as the Diamond Gymnast of the Year.

"The minute Emily stepped on campus she knew this was the place for her. She has an infectious personality and a true love for the sport. Emily continues to get better each day in the gym and as a coaching staff, we know that she has not yet reached her potential. Strong on all four events, I would consider bars and beam her signature events. Her nice lines, fluid swing, and high level of difficulty make her one that catches the eyes of others. The polish in her presentation that she already possesses will make her a very successful NCAA gymnast and I can't wait to be part of that journey with her."
