RALEIGH, N.C. – Coming off three consecutive wins, the NC State volleyball team will welcome UNC-Chapel Hill Wednesday evening for the second meeting between the programs this season. First serve is set for 7 p.m. inside Reynolds Coliseum.

The match will be broadcast live on the ACC Network Extra, accessible through Watch ESPN and the Watch ESPN App.

NC State owns a 13-12 overall record heading into the contest with a 7-8 mark in ACC play, while UNC-Chapel Hill is 7-17 and 3-12 against conference opponents.

Last Time Out
In its last outing, NC State earned a 3-1 road win against a strong Notre Dame squad to complete the season sweep. It was the first time in program history that the Wolfpack has won both meetings in a season with the Fighting Irish.

The Pack out-dug the conference's leader in digs, as NC State tallied 79 team digs to Notre Dame's 70.

Last Time Versus UNC-Chapel Hill
The Tar Heels won the first meeting between the teams this season, 3-1, inside Carmichael Arena on September 26. NC State opened the match with a strong 25-17 first-set win but was unable sustain that level of play throughout the contest.

Last Time Versus UNC-Chapel Hill at Home
NC State snapped a nine-match losing streak against UNC-Chapel Hill with its 3-2 victory at home last year on September 22, 2017. The Wolfpack jumped out to a 2-0 lead versus the preseason favorite and defending ACC Champions before the Tar Heels rallied to force a fifth set.

In the final frame, NC State raced out to a 3-0 lead and gained control of the set with four consecutive points to clinch its first win over the Heels since 2012.

The Wolfpack is looking for consecutive home win against the Tar Heels for the first time since the 1990-91 seasons.

Scouting UNC-Chapel Hill
UNC-Chapel Hill has won its last two matches heading into Wednesday's battle with wins against Wake Forest and Miami. The Tar Heels swept the Demon Deacons last Friday, 3-0, and turned away the Hurricanes with a 3-1 victory.

The Heels have struggled in road matches this season, as the squad is 1-9 overall and 0-7 against ACC opponents away from home.

Freshman outside hitter Destiny Cox leads UNC-CH offensively with 263 kills, an average of 3.25 kills per set. Junior outside hitter Skylar Wins is second on the team with 2.64 kills per set for a total of 203 on the year. Hunter Atherton is the team's setter and has dished out 9.43 assists per set and libero Mia Fradenburg has collected 3.72 digs per set.

As a team, UNC-Chapel Hill has compiled a .182 team attacking percentage and opponents have recorded a .242 clip.

Tough Defense
In its last three matches, the Wolfpack has averaged nearly 75 digs per match and has limited opponents to a .173 team attacking percentage. Senior libero Makenzie Kuchmaner has headlined the defensive effort with 74 digs, averaging 5.29 digs per set.

The Higher, The Better
NC State owns a perfect 11-0 record this season when recording a higher team attacking percentage than its opponents.

Magic Numbers
The Wolfpack is also unbeaten on the year when tallying a team attacking percentage better than .200 with a 9-0 record. Defensively, NC State has held its opponents below .200 in 12 of its wins this season.
