RALEIGH, N.C. -- The NC State men's basketball team (2-0) plays its third straight home game Tuesday evening when it hosts UNC Asheville (1-0).

The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and will be televised on ACC Network Extra with Andrew Sanders and Chris Corchiani on the call.

- NC State moved to 2-0 on the season with a 95-49 win over Maryland Eastern Shore on Saturday. The Pack had four players in double figures led by senior guard Torin Dorn, who scored 22 points and added 10 rebounds for his 10th career double-double. Sophomore DJ Funderburk and freshman Jericole Hellems both reach double figures in scoring for the first time in their collegiate careers with both players adding 13 points. Sophomore guard Braxton Beverly made his season debut and hit four three-pointers to finish with 12 points.
- The Pack's defense has limited the first two opponents this season to field goal percentages lower than any team shot against NC State last season. The Pack limited Maryland Eastern Shore to 31.5 percent shooting on Saturday. Mount St. Mary's shot 32.8 percent in the season-opener on Tuesday. Last season the lowest field goal percentage for an NC State opponent was 34.8 percent by Robert Morris.
-Â NC State has limited its first two opponents to a combined 104 points in the first two games. That's the lowest points in the first two games of the season for opponents since the 2009-10 team allowed Georgia State and Akron to score a combined 98 points. The Pack's offense has also been firing on all cylinders in the early going. NC State has scored a combined 200 points in the first two games, the most points in the first two games for NC State since the 1995-96 team scored 201 points in the first two games of the season against VMI and Winthrop.
