Softball Releases 2019 Schedule

RALEIGH – Headlined by a three-game series with defending Women's College World Series (WCWS) champion Florida State, first-year head coach Jennifer Patrick-Swift announced the NC State softball team's 2019 competition schedule on Thursday afternoon.
The Wolfpack is slated to play 30 games at Dail Stadium this spring, which includes hosting the ACC/B1G Challenge (Feb. 15-17), Fairfield Inn & Suites Crabtree Invitational (Feb. 22-24) and NC State Invitational in conjunction with the Duke Invitational (March 1-3). The team will additionally compete in tournaments at South Florida (Feb. 8-10) and College of Charleston (March 8-10).
Thirteen of the program's games are against teams that qualified for the 2018 NCAA Tournament, including WCWS qualifier Florida and national champion Florida State.
NC State will host Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Virginia and Louisville in conference play, and will travel to Florida State, Boston College, Notre Dame and Duke for ACC matchups. All will be three-game series.
Other home games include nonconference contests with Valparaiso, Winthrop, UNCW, East Carolina and Campbell. Its midweek games on the road feature Elon, Charlotte, Charleston Southern and UNCG.
The 2019 ACC Championship will be hosted by Florida State May 8-11 in Tallahassee, Fla.
