Postseason Begins in Raleigh Wednesday Night

RALEIGH – For the second consecutive season, the NC State men's soccer team will host postseason play in Raleigh when Boston College comes to town Wednesday evening for the first round of the 2018 ACC Tournament. Kickoff from Dail Soccer Stadium is scheduled for 7 pm with live video coverage provided by ACC Network Extra.

SERIES HISTORY (NC State trails 5-8-3)
-BC defeated NC State 1-0 in Boston on Oct. 5 of this season. Enstrom scored in the 61st minute.
-Last meeting in Raleigh was a 0-0 draw on Oct. 27, 2017.
-Last Wolfpack win over BC was a 2-1 OT victory in Raleigh on Sept. 11, 2015.
-Eagles are 2-0-1 in last three meetings with Wolfpack.
-NC State is 1-0-0 against BC in the ACC Tournament. The lone meeting came in the semifinals of 2009, when NC State won 1-0 in Cary, N.C.

SOCCER SUPPORT IN RALEIGH
A stadium-record 3,229 fans witnessed NC State's 1-0 win over No. 1 UNC-CH on Oct. 12. The Wolfpack has enjoyed strong crowds in Raleigh all season, averaging 1,272 fans per match (ranking 23rd in the nation) while earning a 6-0-3 record at home.

TWO STRAIGHT POSTSEASONS IN RALEIGH
On Nov. 1, 2017, NC State hosted a first round ACC Tournament match in Raleigh for the first time in program history. Just 364 days later, the Wolfpack is once again hosting a postseason contest at Dail Soccer Stadium.

SEEKING CONSECUTIVE NCAA TOURNAMENTS
The Wolfpack's appearance in the 2017 NCAA Tournament was the program's first since 2009. If NC State were to qualify for the 2018 NCAA Tournament, it would mark the first time the program qualified for back-to-back postseasons since the 1991 and 1992 seasons.
