Wolfpack set for pair of GARC road matches

RALEIGH, N.C. – Off to a 2-0 start to the 2018-19 season with a No. 8 ranking in the College Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) Poll, the NC State rifle team will head to No. 16 Memphis and No. 12 Ole Miss this weekend for a pair of Great America Rifle Conference (GARC) matches.

Saturday's contest is set for a 9 a.m. start inside R.F. Fogelman Rifle Range, while Sunday's match will begin at 9 a.m. ET inside the Ole Miss Rifle Range.

NC State heads into the weekend with a 2-0 record, including a 1-0 mark in GARC action. Memphis is 0-3 in dual and conference matches this season, while Ole Miss is 2-2 on the year with a 2-1 ledger in conference matches.

In its last outing, the Wolfpack edged No. 10 Akron to pick up its first GARC win of the season with a 4664-4659 victory. Kendra Jacobs turned in a career performance in that match, as she recorded a career high in aggregate and smallbore and tied her career best in air rifle.

Last year, NC State earned a 4629-2606 win against Memphis inside the R.F. Fogelman Rifle Range. The Pack came up short against Ole Miss last season, as the Rebels logged a 4661-4650 victory.
