CHESNUT HILL, Mass. – Led by a match-high 21 kills from senior outside hitter Teni Sopitan, the NC State volleyball team rolled to a 3-1 (25-21, 25-16, 21-25, 25-19) win against the Boston College Eagles Friday night inside Power Gym.

The Wolfpack jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the match before the Eagles won the third set to force a fourth set, but NC State pulled away late in the frame to close out its second ACC road win.

NC State moves to 10-9 on the year and 4-5 in ACC play, while Boston College falls to 12-9 and 2-7 in league action. The Pack has won nine of the last 10 meetings and third-year head coach Linda Hampton-Keith is a perfect 3-0 against Boston College.

Friday's matchup was the lone meeting between the teams this season.

Quoting Hampton-Keith
Overall thoughts...
"I'm proud of our performance and our composure during the fourth set," said Hampton-Keith. "I thought that even when we were struggling to make plays, we were able to stay patient and work through it together as a team. We had some great individual performances tonight led by Teni's [Sopitan] 21 kills. It's so fun to watch her continue to grow and get better each weekend and to see her work during the week pay off."
