Saveljic Brothers Move On to Doubles Quarterfinal at ITA Carolina Regional

CARY, N.C. – NC State men's tennis seniors Igor Saveljic and Ivan Saveljic picked up another straight-sets doubles win Sunday morning to advance to the doubles quarterfinal round at the ITA Carolina Regional.
Playing at the Cary Tennis Park, the Wolfpack brothers faced Furman's Jake Bhangdia and Jake Munns after reaching the Round of 16 with a first-round bye and a second-round win on Saturday. Igor and Ivan, who are ranked No. 15 in the nation in doubles this fall, defeated Bhangdia and Munns 6-3, 7-6 (5) to earn their spot in the quarterfinals.
It marks the second season in a row that NC State will have a doubles pair in the quarterfinal round of the regional championship.

Igor and Ivan will play their doubles quarterfinal match Monday morning as they face South Carolina's Raphael Lambling and Daniel Rodrigues in a battle for a spot in the semifinals. Should the Wolfpack duo win their first match, their doubles semifinal match will also be contested Monday, with the doubles final scheduled for Tuesday morning. The doubles champions from the region will earn a spot in the draw of the season-ending 2018 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships in November.
