
Women’s Soccer Places Six On All-ACC Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – The NC State women's soccer team placed a program-record six student athletes on the 2017 ACC All-Academic Team on Thursday afternoon.
Lulu Guttenberger, Hannah Keogh, Tziarra King, Kia Rankin, Ricci Walkling and Sydney Wootten were all selected to the team, giving the program its most honorees in a single season.
For King, Rankin and Walkling, this is their second honor in as many years. All six made the Dean's List and were named NC State Scholar Athletes for the fall semester while boasting an average GPA of 3.93 for the semester.
The group played a vital role in the team's historic season, including its first ACC Championship semifinal appearance since 1995 and second consecutive trip to the NCAA Tournament. The team also set the highest RPI (30) in program history and earned the most overall (15) and conference wins (6) since 1995.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
