Women’s Soccer Releases 2018 Spring Schedule

RALEIGH – The NC State women's soccer team has released its spring schedule, as announced by head coach Tim Santoro. The Wolfpack is slated to play six matches, highlighted by hosting NWSL regular season champion NC Courage in its opener and facing three teams that finished in the top 55 of last year's final RPI.
"We've put together a spring schedule that will really challenge our roster. We need to be pushed and exposed and this will do that," said Santoro.
"We'll face two ACC teams, a SEC team that went to the Final Four, one of the top teams in the Big South and a local rival from the CAA. And to start it all off we'll host our professional league's 2017 regular season champion."
NC State will open its slate with a home match against NWSL regular season champion NC Courage March 1 at 11:30 a.m. Three weeks later the team will travel to Winston-Salem, N.C., to face ACC opponent Virginia Tech March 24 at 12 p.m.
On April 7 the Pack will play a pair of matches in Clemmons, N.C., against Liberty, who advanced to the Big South Championship semifinals, and South Carolina, a program that reached the 2017 College Cup, at 12:30 and 3 p.m. Both are in conjunction with the Mercedes Benz Southern Soccer Showcase at BB&T Sports Park.
The following weekend the Pack will travel to Wake Forest April 14 for a 12 p.m. matchup, and will conclude its schedule April 21 with a home match against Elon at 12 p.m. Both home matches are open to the public and free to attend.
