Knoxville, Tenn. – James Brady of the NC State diving team advanced to the final on the three-meter board on Wednesday afternoon at the Tennessee Diving Invitational inside the Jones Aquatic Center.
Brady finished 12th in the final with a score of 294.20. During the preliminary round, he tabbed a mark of 325.00 to finish 9th overall.
Also competing on the three-meter board was Stewart Spanbauer, who posted a score of 281.35 to finish 21st along with Holt Gray and Harrison Mitchell, who posted scores of 277.60 and 276.55 to finished 23rd and 24th.
"I think today was a good day," said diving coach Yahya Radman. "We had a lot of good bits of our training that showed, however we also had some major misses that simply should not have happened. James did very well considering the training that we have had and the dives we are trying to introduce and learn. Making his way into the final was a very good setup going into the postseason. Tomorrow's a new day, hopefully with some fresh legs and we'll see where we go from there."
On the women's side, Madeline Kline finished 21st on the one-meter board as she posted a score of 236.70. Bailey Revels scored a 183.85 to finish 35th.
